The problem I have with the direction this administration has always led us in their eight years, (seven of which Iíve just held on for the ride), in office is that they are borrowing against our future. The spirit of giving, and thinking of those less fortunate was quite evident last Wednesday when I saw first-hand the massive stockpile of Christmas gifts amassed by Houston County Care and Share. A legislative commission to end poverty is holding hearings throughout the state. It has had testimony from the unemployed in Blaine, homeless mothers in Eagan, and a single mom in Woodbury who couldnít afford to buy furniture and a report of someone living in a car in Eden Prairie. Go to column
